I followed this tutorial online to remove the t-mobile software from my cell phone and put basically just Sony software on it. Magically, Google Maps + GPS works now, turns out there's a FM radio in there, there's that thing that tells you what song is playing using the cell phone microphone, and the phone just seems faster. Also, it lets you set up synchronization with anything now, not just t-mobile. That means my calendar and contacts are synchronized with Google, and I get my gmail pushed directly to my phone when it arrives.
OMG Sony Google Crackberry on t-mobile! (Hey, at least the service fee is significantly less than $100 a month...unlike the Apple/ATT-themed alternatives...)
